Scotland is gearing for the Year of Natural Scotland 2013, which celebrates its land and reputation. To generate interest from tourists, the national tourist board dressed up two adorable Shetland ponies in cardigans and had photographer Rob McDougall capture their cute and warm new looks in various beautiful landscapes throughout the country.
“Champion English rider Gillian Higgins created a rather unusual way to teach horse anatomy to novice riders, caretakers, and veterinary students. Higgins uses water-based hypoallergenic paints to create the muscular and skeletal systems on the horse’s hair so students gain a better understanding of how the bones and muscles work together.”
